TYROLEAN GRÖSTL RECIPE

Self-made Tyrolean Gröstl

Grilled potatoes with boiled beef
and a fried egg…

INGREDIENTS
that serve 4

› 150g bacon from the farmer
› 300g roasted pork
› 800g fatty potatoes
› 2 onions
› 2 EL lard
› 1 EL chopped parsley
› milled pepper
› salt

PREPARATION

Peel potatoes and cut them into 3mm wide slices. Peel the onions, halve them and cut them into thin slices. Cut the meat into equal parts and pepper them. Cut the bacon into 1cm wide cubes.
Heat 2 EL lard and sear the potatoes in it.

In a second pan sear the meat, remove it then on a plate, salt it and put it in a warmly place. Sautée in the same pan onions and bacon. Then add the meat. Afterwards add potatoes.

Finally, salt and pepper the Gröstl, add some more herbs if you want and serve the tasty dish.

Secret tip: the crowning glory is a fried egg at the top of the Gröstl!
